The Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment (www.ma.slu.se) has a unique national responsibility for assessing the condition of Swedish surface waters with respect to both water chemistry and the aquatic biota. The mission of the department is to provide the knowledge about human impacts on aquatic ecosystems that society needs to achieve its environmental goals for surface waters.

We seek three scientists who will work independently and in collaboration to advance the understanding of neurodegenerative disorders at the cellular and functional level based on results from metabolomics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and are expected to have a record of internationally recognized research accomplishments of high quality in neurodegenerative research or related areas. The candidates should have at least two years of postdoctoral experience. There will be one position each in the fields of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Parkinson’s disease (PD).
